Who can I turn to on YouTube when I want to learn more?<\/strong><\/p>\n

YouTube is a wonderful source of information and training, but not all information is created equal.\u00a0 Having a 3D printer and a YouTube channel doesn’t automatically mean that the ideas someone shares are necessarily useful or reliable.<\/span><\/p>\n

I recommend that you start your exploration of 3D printing with two individuals.\u00a0 Stefan Herman at CNC Kitchen<\/a> and Thomas Sanladerer\u00a0at Made with Layers<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, I’d recommend that you begin with Thomas’ 3D Printing Basics playlist<\/a>.\u00a0 Stephan created a similar, single-video version describing 3D printing basics<\/a> but I think it’s actually a valuable review after you’ve been printing for about six months.<\/span><\/p>\n

For additional insight and fun, I recommend the channels of two other YouTubers:\u00a0 Michael at Teaching Tech<\/a> and Angus at Maker’s Muse<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

For pure fun (and great ideas), visit Devin at Make Anything<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To be completely transparent, Thomas does a good job of explaining why you might not want to get into 3D printing<\/a>…<\/p>\n

And Angus speaks<\/a> about the key things he’s learned after 10 years of 3D printing.<\/p>\n
