The name of this page sounds like a joke, but it’s actually intended to show the ways in which you can utilize a keyguard that has no special mounting features.\u00a0 That means choosing “- none -” from the “mounting method” pull-down list.\u00a0 Given that “No Mount” is the default value, you don’t even have to do that.<\/p>\n

There are two categories of – none – mounting: squeezed-in and taped down.\u00a0 The keyguard can be simply squeezed into the opening in a soft-style case if it’s a few millimeters wider and higher than the case opening.\u00a0 The squeeze method won’t work with rigid cases.\u00a0 A squeeze-in keyguard can easily be put in place and removed and sits close to the surface of the screen but it’s hard to know if the case will become stretched out over time.<\/p>\n

When using the taped-down method, the keyguard is mounted using “suction cup tape”.\u00a0 Suction cup (also called “micro-suction) tape is available from Amazon (sheet<\/a>, roll<\/a>). A single sheet of tape will last you a long time.\u00a0 The tape leaves no residue when the keyguard is pulled away from the face of the tablet and can be “refreshed” by wiping the tape with a wet towel.<\/p>\n

A micro-suction-tape mounted keyguard sits very close to the tablet screen. but can be very hard to separate if you use too much tape.\u00a0 The amount shown below in the picture is too much tape<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 You’ll want to experiment to find just the right amount of tape.<\/p>\n
