You should use Presets to save your Customizer settings. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to share your Presets with someone else if you want to show them how you created your keyguard.
As a fallback, the designer will “echo” all your Customizer settings to the Console pane and you can easily copy them from there.
Begin by right-clicking in the Console pane and selecting “Clear” from the pop-up menu:
Now select “Customizer settings” from the “generate” pull-down list in the “Special Actions and Settings” section:
The image of your keyguard will disappear and lots of text will be written to the Console pane.
Now right click in the Console pane again and choose “Select all”:
Type Ctrl-C to copy the contents of the Console pane. You now have a record of all your Customizer settings that you can paste into a document or email message:
The Console will only show those settings that are different from the default settings. For example, in the image above, you don’t see any entries in the Type of Keyguard and Tablet settings. That’s because all options associated with those sections are unchanged from the default values.
Your keyguard will reappear once you choose “keyguard” from the “generate” pull-down list.
Exporting and Importing your Customizer Settings as a Preset
With some extra work to set things up, you can directly save/export and load/import the Preset for your design. Working with your Preset is a faster and more reliable way to preserve and recreate your earlier work. More on that topic here.
